Paul Mobley update
Paul Mobley
I just received a call from the Nursing Home and Paul is being taken to the VA Hospital tonight because he is losing too much blood. She said for me to wait and go in the morning and she’d call me back if necessary. Some of this could be from the Norwalk virus that has spread through his unit.
Thanks for the prayers.

Devotion 12-5-12
Good morning,
The Apostle Paul tells us in I Thessalonians 5:16-18 these things: “Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Wow! That is putting all of life in a nutshell. Each of those things is difficult and takes much practice. Perhaps that is why some of us live to ripe old ages….because it isn’t learned in a day or two.
- Be joyful always. Are you kidding? So many things happen that don’t bring us much joy. However, it could always be worse.
- Pray continually…Now that becomes easier when we realize that we can be in conversation with God in whatever task we are about. It doesn’t always have to be on our knees.
- Give thanks in all circumstances. Not for all circumstances in which we find ourselves, but in them, because we can always know that we are not there alone. God is with us.
I’m really learning to appreciate those who care for our loved ones. It takes a special person to be nurses and aides. I try to always let them know that their dedication is appreciated.
I pray for them and try to encourage them when I see them in such difficult and sometimes unappreciated circumstances by those for whom they are caring. I thank God for them and I want them to know it. I appreciate the friendly smile of the receptionist who greets me when I arrive at the Vet’s Nursing Home, which is almost daily. She is missed when she’s absent.
God, I thank You for the circumstances and people You have put in my life. Help me to know that all blessings come from You and that we are just part of the picture to be used by You. Help us to be a blessing to all those we meet and may Your name be glorified in all situations. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
In His service,
Fran
