This was a posting from Shelly earlier today.  I do know that Riley did go home even though she was also diagnosed with RSV.  Thank you for your prayers!!

Update: Emma is doing better. She is starting to cry and fuss. They are going to turn down her oxygen today. Hopefully she will be moved out of PICU tomorrow and to a regular floor. Her twin, Riley is on her way to Children’s hospital ER to be evaluated. She was more fussy last night and her cough is getting worse. She has been getting breathing treatments at home for the last several days. But it is time to be reevaluated as Mommy, Shelly Stambaugh Alt doesn’t want to go through this again. Our prayers are being heard, so keep them coming!

Devotion 11-23-12

Good morning,
Thanksgiving is over, but our many reasons for being thankful are not.  As the new day begins so is the opportunity to begin from a new perspective and do away with resentments or anything else that would hinder our walk with Christ.  Anything that comes between the Lord and us ends us being closer to Him than we are.
I came across a little note I’d tucked away in a book that is a story worth reminding us of what is important in our relationships.  It is said that in “Yellowstone National Park the grizzly bear will share his food only with a skunk.  Not that he couldn’t overpower him, but the price is too great.  So is resentment.”  It does us more harm than the one against whom we hold the grudge.
David was a man who had many reasons to resent King Saul in his efforts to try to kill David. Yet when the opportunities arose, David would not kill him, though for many of us we would think he’d have been justified.  But  in 1 Samuel we read these words that David said to the king.  “May the Lord repay every man for his righteousness and his faithfulness; for the Lord delivered you into my hand today, but I would not stretch out my hand against the Lord’s anointed.”  “And indeed as your life  was valued much this day in my eyes, so let my life be valued in the eyes of the Lord, and let Him deliver me out of all tribulation.”  (I Sam. 26:23-24).
Father, help us to value the things and persons You value.  Help us to see each thing through Your eyes.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

In His service,
Fran

Connect

We believe worship is the vital connection place as we unite our hearts and minds in worship together. In our worship we celebrate the living presence of God who desires to engage our lives and meet our spiritual needs. We come just as we are, with our hurts, hopes, struggles, and pain to find the healing that God can bring to our lives through the acts of worship. In our worship we pray, sing, celebrate, hear the scriptures read and engage the Word through the sermon.
In our worship we also connect with each other as we worship together, pray together, sing together and share each others journey of faith. Engaging in community with one another is vital to our walk of faith.
