Good morning,
Christmas has passed, but hopefully the Present Who was the reason for the season remains in your heart and evident in your life. While our days may go back to the “usual routine” nothing is ever quite the same as the day before. I’m praying it will be better.
The author of Hebrews writes these words: “Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:7). That reminds us that their lives were not always easy, but they saw the greater picture of following Christ. And the same admonition that they gave, so should we all: “Pray for us….”(v.17a). It is prayer that sustains each of us whether we are leaders who speak the word, or followers who obey God’s word. The same God hears and answers.
Father God, today we come thanking You for all You’ve been to us over the past year. Continue to let Your love shine on us and all America and the world. Give us grateful hearts to accept all Your gifts with humility and praise Your name through it all. In Your Son’s name and for His sake. Amen.
In His service,
Fran
