Hi Fran,
Thank you for the updates!

An update on Baby Emma from her Mom, Shelly

Thank you everyone for your continued prayers. Please keep them coming. We had a rough night last night. Coughing spells are just wearing my baby out! Feeding tube went in yesterday and she seems to be tolerating that pretty well. Hope we have a better day today than night. — at All Children’s Hospital.

Devotion 12-20-12

On this Thursday morning, I don’t think I can improve on the words of Max Lucado.  God’s blessings on each of you during this special season.

He Called His Name Jesus

Today’s MP3 Scripture says,  “And Joseph took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son.  And he called His name Jesus!”   Matthew 1:24
Joseph was literally willing to tank his reputation.  And he did. He traded it in for a pregnant fiancée and an illegitimate son and made the big decision of discipleship.  He placed God’s plan ahead of his own.  Rather than make a name for himself, he made a home for Christ.  And because he did, a great reward came his way. “And he called His name Jesus!”
Of all the saints, sinners, prodigals, and preachers who’ve spoken the name, Joseph—a blue-collar, small-town construction worker said it first.  Joseph cradled the wrinkle-faced prince of heaven, and with an audience of angels and pigs, whispered, “Jesus—You’ll be called Jesus!”

Decorate for Christmas at Wesley

Good morning!
I hope your plans for Thanksgiving are well on the way as we give thanks for our families ,extended family and friends and
to God for our freedom to worship Him ! Next comes decorating for Christmas at our homes, school and church!

You are getting this email because we are hopeful you will be able to help  decorate for Christmas at Wesley .

  • Marilyn Terry heads up decorating onSaturday December 1 . She could definitely use help! She needs help everywhere!
  • Suzanne Ness decorates Fellowship Hall . She could use help. Last year Suzanne and I partnered on decorating for the Children’s  Christmas Concert and   Mother’s Day ( a week early) 10 am breakfast on Sunday Morning. It was awesome!

                                   KIDZONE:
We also need help decorating, Please help!
Family Chrismon Celebration Program at end of document

1.     KidZone town, putting up our tree . bulletin board
2.    Bulletin Board in the Welcome Center and in Fellowship Hall with KidZone Christmas Calendar, January Mega Camp etc.
2.    Family Chrismon Tree Celebration Wednesday, December 12th :
Making inepensive centerpieces using the Chrismon theme.

  •     Could you please be part of a team?
  •     We will decorate the tables using the chrismons that are run off on cardstock as part of a centerpiece for each table.
  •     We have black round table cloths that could have a white or christmas cloth on top of it, like you see in restuarants
  •     Fake Poinsettias, etc. to decorate on the serving table for deserts. It will make it look very special.
  •     We have 4 doors that could be covered with Black paper. 2 doors would have sample white Chrismons attached
to them with a short line of what they mean.
  •     One door would be the manger scene with a Bible Verse,
  •     One door would  be the poem about What Can I  Give Jesus? the one that ends with I can give him my heart.
I don’t know where it is, or  something similar.

We are opening it up to the church, at Pastor Clark’s suggestion, on Wednesday (December 12th) Night at 5:30 for Dinner then 6:30-8pm for the Celebration.  The program is pasted in at the end of this email.
A Desert Table filled with deserts brought by attendees and punch refreshments half way through the program for 15 minutes
Because it is a dinner we are going to ask people to sign ups so we have a number to expect and a desert sign up.
We will need people to not only decorate but be greeters and help set up and take down.
The dinner would be a donation of $3.00 or more .Jerry Booth could use help in the kitchen.

Could you  volunteer and  enlist  help from others? Please  Forward this email with your note saying
Please be involved this Christmas and help !  God will bless us if we work together with Him and focus on Jesus this Christmas. It is the time of year that people’s hearts are most open to Christ. Invite a friend to help and to come!

Please reply to this email so I know who I have.   Thank you!
If you want to help Suzanne or  Marilynn Terry respond for that too!
