Requests from Ginny Winters 12-2-12

Please put our church member, Doris Weekley, in your prayers.  She is now living at Emeritus on Village Drive in Carrollwood.  She was able to bring her cat and dog with her.  She has been very active in our church for a long time and is a very special lady.

Please put a family in your prayers that lost their 9 year old daughter on Thanksgiving Day.  She was riding a 4-wheeler without a helmet and accidentally hit a stump and was killed immediately.

Paul Mobley 12-2-12

Update on Paul Mobley

Just got back from visiting Paul this afternoon.  He’d gotten dressed today but they had to feed him and I gave him some ice cream.  He was running a low grade temp and still had a hacking cough.  They gave him a decongestant and some cough syrup and he went to sleep.  The nurse said his lungs were clear.  When she took his temp under his arm because he’d just had ice cream, he said you’ll have to add a point.  She said only 5/8 of a point but the new thermometers made the adjustment automatically.  But thought it was remarkable he remembered that much of his hospital training.  I got more cover for him and he remarked that “he didn’t think my husband was going to be around much longer.”  That is probably because he is so weak.  Hopefully, he’ll wake up feeling better.

Hope that all of you are well.
Love,
Frances/Mom

Karen was up and walked once while I was at the hospital today. She was then transferred to a room and when I left was tired and going to nap. Still having pain but Doctor is very pleased with how she is doing. Again, thank you for your prayers….Sue Ann

Also pray for Alta Nardi whose leg that was operated on for cancer has an infection and they also have discovered a tumor on her pancreas.

Thanks for your prayers.

Prayer requests 10/02/12

Dear prayer warriors:
    1. Michael Coffee who was riding a scooter in Sheffield, Al. and hit by a SUV.  He is in intensive care at the hospital there.
    2. Annette Hosea, mother of Michael Coffee, who has a heart condition but is on the way to be at his side along with her daughter.
    3. Paul Mobley who has done well with his physical therapy, but has deteriorated mentally to the point that I no longer think I can care for him at home, even with help. The family agrees with this assessment.  Pray for me to get the right facility and help that he needs.
    4. Karen Marotz is having a CT scan and PET scan today in connection with her lung cancer.
Thanks to all of you for your continued faithfulness in prayer.  We all need it as well as does our country.  God bless you as you pray.
In His service,
Fran
